As Director Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mieke defines the strategy and offering together with the AI Research teams at imec. The focus of that applied research is to help companies at local and worldwide level in the transition to a healthier, greener and more sustainable future through AI driven innovations and technology.

Mieke was a Nominee for ICT Woman of the Year 2018, is a keynote speaker, author of multiple books, and expert at AI4Belgium.
